Shall We Dance?
We’re kicking off our Studio Series with DanceBody, a dance-inspired fitness method that’s guaranteed to spark joy. MPG teamed up with their NYC team of dancers-turned-instructors, geared up in the new MPG Spring collection, to take us through a heart-pounding workout and after one class, we were hooked!
With straightforward choreography, motivational music and high-energy instructors, this fun yet effective workout combines dance-focused cardio alongside toning through resistance training and floor exercise on the HexMat®️.

Q&A About DanceBody Studios with Director of Marketing, Samantha Ostwald.
Q – DanceBody currently has 9 studios based in 4 different cities. When and where did the first studio open?
A – We currently have 3 studios in NYC and satellite studios in Miami, LA and the Hamptons. The first DanceBody studio opened in 2018 in NoMad NYC!
Q – Are there expansion plans to open more studios in different locations?
A – Right now, we are focusing on our recently launched online streaming platform DanceBody LIVE. This allows us to reach new markets and bring the boutique fitness experience to everybody.
Q – With a variety of other dance-inspired fitness studios to choose from, what makes the DanceBody method standout?
A – DanceBody is unique for a few reasons. The first is the community. DanceBody is an inclusive, uplifting environment where anybody is welcome. Our method is set apart because we follow a certain structure in all of our classes – intervals of cardio with toning throughout. The music we use is the best out there – we don’t do boring and our dancers-turned-instructors will move your body in new ways, leaving no muscle untouched.
Q – Why is the DanceBody workout effective/what specialized benefits does it offer?
A – The DanceBody workout is so effective because of the combination of high intensity intervals and toning. If you are consistent in your workouts, you’ll not only notice how your body is tightening up and creating long, lean muscle, you’ll also notice how good your mind feels. Dancing is special because not only does it release endorphins, it also makes you feel like you’re a part of something bigger than yourself. The choreography challenges your mind, and you leave feeling accomplished.
Q – What makes your studio environment special?
A – You’ll find some of the friendliest and warmest staff! DanceBody really is a community. We will learn your name, be your friend and support you on and off the dance floor.
Q – Why do you love wearing MPG while training at DanceBody?
A – I love wearing MPG because of the way it makes me feel. Not only does it look fab and fit in all the right places, it also makes me feel confident. When I’m teaching, a great outfit motivates me that much more to push myself (especially a new outfit from the MPG Spring collection – so cute)!
Q – What do you love about the new MPG Spring 2020 collection?
A – I love the color scheme of this collection. Working out in a boring outfit is unmotivating. I love the tie-dye, snakeskin and all of the new patterns!!
Q – What is your favorite part about working at Dancebody?
A – Getting to help people look and more importantly feel better is the best. Working out should be a celebration of what your body can do, not a punishment for something you didn’t do.
