In honor of International Women’s Day, MPG is celebrating the female voices of the company who are helping to lead the brand.

We believe in empowering women to lead 365 days a year. We’re proud that women hold over half of the company’s leadership roles and make up over 60 percent of Mondetta’s workforce.

Wearing their favorite new leggings that effortlessly take them from workout to the weekend to WFH – meet a few of the women in leadership at MPG who do it all and never settle for less!

Sonya / Director of Design

How long have you worked at MPG?
Thirteen years

What do you love about your role?
I love that I get to be creative on a daily basis and see my ideas and designs come to life each season.

What does being a woman in leadership mean to you?
It’s important that I empower my team with the resources, authority, and opportunity to design clothing that in turn empowers our customers to feel comfortable and confident in their everyday lives. I truly believe that empowered women empower women.

Who is your biggest female inspiration?
My mother is my biggest inspiration. My strength and the ability to maintain a calm demeanor in times of stress comes from her.

Why do you love the Strive Recycled Polyester High Waisted 7/8 Printed Leggings you’re wearing?
I love the limited-edition Sunset Airbrush print with an ombre effect; it goes with everything and adds a cool visual pop without being overwhelming. And the Recycled Performance Jersey fabric is my all-time favorite, with excellent coverage, breathability, and compression in all the right spots.

The Spring ‘21 Collection is inspired by our favorite travel destinations. What has been your favorite travel destination?
Costa Rica! It’s a total paradise that’s unlike anywhere else I’ve ever been. Once we can travel internationally again, I can’t wait to go back.

What do you love about your role?
I love that every day brings something new and interesting. There is so much to learn in the fashion industry, and it’s constantly evolving, keeping you on your toes. I work with really great, smart people that I’m continuously learning from.

What does being a woman in leadership mean to you?
To me, leadership is empowering those you lead to become leaders themselves by fostering confidence and growth while providing the tools and support they need to truly succeed.

Who is your biggest female inspiration?
I don’t have one, in particular; rather, I’m inspired by those around me who have worked hard and succeeded within their role, no matter what their role is, personally or professionally.

Why do you love the Prosper High Waisted Recycled Nylon 7/8 Legging you’re featured in?
These leggings are my workout-to-weekend wonders! They’re great for working up a sweat and then running errands because you can stash your keys, phone, and debit card in the fitted pockets, so you can easily shop without a purse. I also love the flattering and supportive high-waisted design and the recycled nylon fabric with the perfect amount of compression. And the new colors for Spring are an instant mood booster!

The Spring ‘21 Collection is inspired by our favorite travel destinations. What has been your favorite travel destination?
My favorite travel destination has been Europe, specifically Italy. Not only is it some of the best food I’ve ever tasted, but the beauty is astounding, and the way of life is inspiring.

How long have you worked at MPG?
Eight and a half years

What do you love about your role?
I love that I get to solve problems by creating solutions for the company that help make a difference every day. I am constantly learning, and no two days are identical.

What does being a woman in leadership mean to you?
To me, being a woman in leadership means leading by example and making sure every voice on my team feels heard and valued. It’s very motivational to be part of a Certified B Corporation™ that’s using business as a force for good.

Who is your biggest female inspiration?
Many women have helped pave the way, but in my personal life, my strong mother and grandmothers showed me that being creative, intelligent, and assertive can go hand-in-hand.

Why do you love the Relentless Ultra-High Waisted Recycled Nylon 7/8 Leggings you’re featured in?
These are my favorite new leggings from the Spring ’21 Collection, and they’ve become a work-from-home essential! I love the mesh detailing along the leg and the streamlined side pockets that fit my cellphone perfectly. They are so cute yet so comfy, and I’ve been wearing them nonstop. And they look great with a blazer, so if I have to run to the office for a meeting, I don’t need to worry about changing.

The Spring ‘21 Collection is inspired by our favorite travel destinations. What has been your favorite travel destination?
Barcelona – it’s the most beautiful city, full of culture and amazing weather. The food and wine push it over the edge as my favorite vacation destination. I can’t wait to go back once we can travel again!
